Catching up, part 2: Vintage Clothing

For part 2, I'm going to stick with more fashion imagery.  This time shot on July 21, 2012 as part of the Summer Fun Farm Fest event which was hosted again by Jeanne Blackwell at MadCap farm.  She also provided the vintage clothing.  The original plan for this shoot was supposed to be mostly outdoors, using various locations at the farm for backdrops.  Of course, you know what they say about "the best laid plans of mice and men," and true to form we woke up on Saturday morning to a fairly steady rain.  After a quick discussion with Jeanne (who woke me up about 2 hours before my alarm was set) we decided to go ahead with the event and the shoot.  This meant that I had to bring a couple of lighting setups so that we could use the interior of the barn as our backdrop.  I'm pretty happy with the results, and these images have already generated a lot of buzz through Facebook.  Special thanks this time go to Jeanne, for providing the location, clothing, and arranging the models; Charla Malone and her crew from Salon Emage in Warrenton, Va for the hair and makeup artists, to all of the folks who showed up to model for us:  Alex, Cristina, Erin, Manuel, Miguel, Tara, Amanda, Sharon, Christina, and Whitney; and especially to my friend Carol, who handled the administrative stuff behind the scenes so that I could focus on creating good photographs.
